The GDC is a daytime pop and soul choir for women of all ages. Well established local choir leader, Beth Morgan, set up the choir 7 years ago to give women a daytime opportunity to SING together, have FUN and FEEL GREAT.
The choir sings a range of feel good songs from through the decades from the 60’s right through to current chart topping hits. There are no auditions and no need to read music. Songs are learnt by ear from lyrics sheets with professional audio learning tracks as a support.
With over 100 members, the joint Great Day choirs perform at numerous local community events throughout the year, and have helped raise £1000s for local charities, including Dorothy House, St Peter’s Hospice, Bristol Military Wives Choir and BRACE Dementia Research. In 2024, the choir hopes to sing again at Bath Festival Party in the City, Choir Sundays at The Roper Theatre, Choirlab24 and also the Bristol Festival of Song.
